Surroundings

The trulli, like many small jewels, are set in a unique place, the Itria Valley, in the center of Puglia, between Martina Franca, Locorotondo and Cisternino, surrounded everywhere by ancient walls and the intense scents of the Mediterranean.

Places

We are in the heart of the Itria Valley, between almond trees and vineyards. Numerous itineraries depart from here, by bike or on foot. Among the most evocative is that of the Barbagiulo district, 800 meters from the estate, where there is a fountain and an ancient cistern. Proceed crossing the tracks of the South-East railway crossing up to small roads with an intermonable row of dry stone walls, until you reach a crossroads, towards Monte Castel Pagano, where the path tends to thicken more and more by the typical vegetation of the Mediterranean scrub and oak trees, which break out of the red earth like clay.

Turning right here are the ancient streets of the Apulian Aqueduct, immersed in nature that have become magnificent cycle streets.

Routes

These places are full of fascinating paths, which have always attracted the attention of scholars and adventurers. Walking a few meters from the Tenuta, you will find a crossroads. Turning right you will find the ancient streets of the Apulian Aqueduct, totally immersed in nature and transformed into unparalleled cycle paths, also used by runners, which lead up to the Figazzano lift system and beyond, towards Locorotondo. Crossing the Murgia in state-owned land and through lost corners of land, this extraordinary "green road" offers the visitor, on foot and by pedal, unique colors and scents.
